The Stratford Neighbourhood Development Plan Team are set to host roadshows and events to help answer residents’ questions

The Stratford-upon-Avon Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP) is set for Referendum on 29 November 2018 and will give the people who live in the Neighbourhood Area the opportunity to vote on how the Town will develop in the future.  

The Plan concerns seven main areas:- 
Development Strategy and Housing, Employment, The Town Centre, Built Environment and Design, the Natural Environment, Infrastructure and Community, Leisure and Wellbeing.

In the run-up to the day of voting, roadshows and events will be taking place in the Town. The NDP team have already held two successful events. The First at Rother Street Market, on Friday 2 November, where the Team welcomed many members of the public and answered numerous questions about the Plan’s content and purpose.

On Saturday 3 November, Morrisons Supermarket hosted the Team from 10am to 4pm. The Town Councillors were kept busy answering questions and distributing leaflets giving further details of the importance of the Plan.   

Councillor John Bicknall, Mayor of Stratford-upon-Avon said, “Store Manager Jeremy Steele and his team could not have been more helpful, and we were grateful to both Morrisons and LSD Promotions (who organise the Rother Street Markets) for their community spirit and assistance.”

Further roadshows and events will be taking place at the Rother Street Market on Friday 9, 16 and 23 November. The Team will also be back at Morrisons on Saturday 24 November.In addition to these dates, there will be Councillor Surgeries being held at the Town Hall between 6pm and 8pm on Monday 19 and 26 November.
